Russia not to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine: Kremlin

Under any scenario, Russia is not going to use nuclear weapons there in Ukraine, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the American television channel PBS, AzVision.az reports citing Interfax.

"No one is considering the use of nuclear weapons, or even the very idea of using them," he stressed.

Peskov, speaking about the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation, recalled that Russia "can and will use nuclear weapons only if it is necessary to eliminate the threat to the very existence of Russia".
